Engineering Technician

We are an innovative stealth startup dedicated to transforming the treatment of Peripheral Artery Disease (PAD) and Coronary Artery Disease (CAD) through a novel catheter-based technology. We’re seeking a motivated and energetic team member to help us bring life-changing solutions to market. Position Summary The Engineering Technician will play a key role in supporting engineering and production activities in the development, assembly, and testing of medical devices. This position requires advanced technical skills and a strong understanding of manufacturing processes, quality standards, and lean principles. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in assembly operations, troubleshooting, and process improvement within regulated environments. Key Responsibilities Assembly & Production Support: Perform complex assembly tasks for medical devices, ensuring compliance with blueprints, schematics, and work instructions. Quality Assurance & Compliance: Inspect components and finished products for adherence to quality standards and regulatory requirements (GMP, ISO). Maintain accurate documentation for quality assurance and production records. Process Improvement: Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and reduce waste. Apply lean manufacturing principles and support continuous improvement initiatives. Technical Expertise: Troubleshoot assembly and equipment issues, collaborating with engineering and quality teams to resolve problems. Assist in equipment calibration and maintenance to ensure optimal performance. Cross-Functional Collaboration: Coordinate with engineering, quality control, and logistics teams to meet production schedules and project deadlines. Provide feedback to management on production issues. Qualifications High School Diploma or equivalent; technical certifications preferred. 2-5+ years of experience in medical device manufacturing or related industry. Strong knowledge of assembly processes, tools, and quality systems regulations. Ability to read and interpret technical documents, blueprints, and schematics. Basic knowledge of mechanical, electrical, or computer systems. Skills Attention to detail and problem-solving ability. Proficiency in Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and Good Documentation Practices (GDP). Ability to follow technical instructions, procedures, and test methods with attention to detail. Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint). Excellent work ethic with strong attention to detail. Ability to work as a team member and ability to be very flexible, adaptable, and to work under pressure. Honesty, integrity, the ability to work with minimal supervision, a conscientious approach to meeting goals and objectives, and the ability to handle pressure with grace and humor are equally important.
