We believe that high-performing teams drive groundbreaking medical discoveries and invite all applicants to join us and experience what it means to be part of Mass General Brigham.Job SummarySchedule: Per diemStarting Rate: $42/hrThis position is part of the 1199SEIU Bargaining Unit at Cooley Dickinson Hospital.Perform Comprehensive Cardiac Ultrasound ExamsIndependently perform high-quality transthoracic echocardiograms (TTEs), TEE Stress Echo, portable cardiac ultrasound studies, and contrast/bubble studies while acquiring diagnostic images for physician interpretation.Assess and Prepare Patients for ProceduresReview patient histories, prior imaging, and clinical information to ensure appropriate exam protocols and deliver safe, patient-centered care. IV placement knowledge preferred but will provide training.Document and Communicate FindingsPrepare accurate preliminary reports and communicate relevant findings to interpreting physicians in a timely manner.Maintain Safety, Quality, and Compliance StandardsPrepare equipment and exam rooms, adhere to infection prevention and patient safety protocols, and comply with all privacy, departmental, and hospital policies.Support Exceptional Patient ExperiencesUtilize proper positioning and ergonomic scanning techniques to ensure patient comfort, safety, and a positive experience for patients and families.Contribute to Departmental ExcellenceParticipate in quality improvement and accreditation activities, assist with scheduling and workflow coordination, and meet established productivity and quality standards and other activities as required by department.Aid in the participation of our students precepting as deemed appropriate.QualificationsAssociate's degree in Sonography preferredAmerican Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support (BLS) certification requiredRegistered Cardiac Sonographer (RCS) through CCI, or Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer (RDCS) through ARDMS requiredPrevious experience as a Cardiac Sonographer preferredNew Hampshire locations: Medical Imaging License through the State of New Hampshire Office of Professional Licensure & Certification (OPLC) required upon hireThe salary range for this position is $42-$52/hr.
