Ironworker - Per Diem OfferedTrillium Construction is now hiring Journeyman Ironworker Welders for work in the Hooks, TX Area!Work is Monday - Friday, with some Saturdays. 7am-6pm, 50-58/hours per week. Pay is $27.90/hour with per diem of $100/day worked.Key ResponsibilitiesStructural Steel Erection -Erect primary building frames including columns and raftersInstall secondary members such as purlins, girts, and bracing systemsAlign, plumb, and secure structural componentsPerform bolt-up and final torquing per specificationsWelders & Fabrication -Perform field welding using SMAW, FCAW, or GMAW processesExecute welds in 3G (vertical) and 4G (overhead) positions to code requirementsRead and interpret welding symbols and structural drawingsEnsure weld quality meets AWS D1.1 or project-specific standardsRoof & Wall Installation -Install metal roof systems (standing seam or screw-down)Install wall panels, insulation systems, and trimSeal building envelope to ensure weather-tight conditionsDoors, Openings & Accessories -Install overhead doors, walk doors, windows, and louversFrame openings per engineered drawingsRigging & Equipment Operation -Signal cranes and assist with hoisting operationsSafely rig structural components for lifting and placementUse aerial lifts, telehandlers, and other equipment as neededSafety & Compliance -Follow all OSHA and site-specific safety requirementsMaintain 100% tie-off and fall protection complianceParticipate in daily JHAs and safety meetingsQualifications: -Valid 3G and 4G welding certifications (AWS or equivalent) -3+ years of experience in PEMB, structural steel, or industrial construction -Ability to read and interpret blueprints and erection drawings -Strong understanding of bolt-up, alignment, and steel tolerancesTrillium Construction Services has been recruiting and hiring construction and skilled trades talent for over 30 years.
