Registered Nurse - Emergency Room

Job Description

Job Summary:
Provide high-quality emergency nursing care in a busy, state-of-the-art Emergency Department. Ensure patient safety and comfort while effectively managing trauma, critical cases, and diverse populations from newborn to geriatric.

Responsibilities:

• Deliver comprehensive emergency nursing services to patients across all age groups, utilizing advanced clinical skills and age-specific knowledge.
• Administer medications, drips, and vents, ensuring precise management according to established protocols.
• Collaborate seamlessly with pre-hospital, emergency, and in-hospital teams to guarantee cohesive patient care and efficient workflow.
• Document patient assessments, interventions, and outcomes accurately in EPIC electronic health records.
• Adhere to safety standards, including wearing professional scrubs and following dress code requirements.
• Handle stressful situations calmly, demonstrating excellent communication and interpersonal skills with patients and team members.

Qualifications:

• Possess a current NH or compact RN license, uploaded at profile submission.
• Bring at least 2 years of current emergency department experience, with a preference for those with more experience.
• Have at least 3 months of prior travel experience within the last year.
• Be proficient in EPIC EMR systems and current ACLS, BLS, and PALS certifications from AHA or ARC.
• Own reliable transportation and be willing to work required holiday blocks and varied shifts.
• Demonstrate excellent communication, adaptability, and the ability to work effectively in a high-pressure environment.
