Registered Nurse Medical Surgical

Job Summary:

Seeking a dedicated Medical Surgical Registered Nurse to provide high-quality patient care during the PM shift. The RN will be responsible for managing various clinical tasks, monitoring patient conditions, and collaborating with the healthcare team to ensure optimal outcomes.

Responsibilities:

• 
  Interpret and manage dysrhythmias, including administering blood products and managing central and peripheral lines.
  
  
• 
  Monitor patients via telemetry, both on the unit and remotely, to identify and respond to emerging issues.
  
  
• 
  Provide feeding tube care and management, including CBI and tube feeding, ensuring proper access and maintenance of ports.
  
  
• 
  Administer cardiac gtts without titration, and manage IV starts and maintenance, including PICC line care.
  
  
• 
  Utilize Rapid Response/Code team protocols to stabilize and respond to patient emergencies.
  
  
• 
  Perform blood draws and phlebotomy procedures, ensuring accurate specimen collection.
  
  

Qualifications:

• 
  Valid RN license with current state registration.
  
  
• 
  Experience in medical-surgical acute care nursing preferred.
  
  
• 
  Certification in BLS required; ACLS preferred.
  
  
• 
  Ability to interpret cardiac dysrhythmias and manage closely monitored patients.
  
  
• 
  Strong IV skills, including starting and maintaining IVs and managing ports.
  
  
• 
  Excellent patient assessment and communication skills.
