GIS Analyst

Role Overview

This position is focused on providing operational Geographic Information Systems (GIS) support. The role involves performing a range of tasks from data analysis and management to the development of automation scripts. The candidate will work with internal teams to ensure data integrity and improve workflows through technical solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide on-duty GIS support to internal customers and operational teams.
• Execute ad hoc tasks, including the creation of database views and dashboard enhancements.
• Assist in the integration and conversion of GIS data into AutoCAD formats.
• Perform facility analysis and data review using ArcGIS Pro and ArcMap.
• Publish and manage GIS content within the ArcGIS Portal.
• Develop Python scripts to validate Utility Network (UN) data and automate data ingestion from third-party sources.
• Support process automation initiatives to improve data workflows.
• Accept and complete work assignments via ServiceNow and Microsoft Planner.
• Ensure task closure rates and time-to-completion key performance indicators (KPIs) meet minimum standards.

Required Qualifications

Technical Skills:

• Proficiency in ArcGIS Pro, ArcMap, and ArcGIS Portal.
• Experience with AutoCAD and GIS data conversion.
• Strong Python scripting capabilities for data validation and automation.
• Working knowledge of SQL for database queries and analysis.
