About Facility:

• Atrium Health Floyd Medical Center is a 304-bed, full-service hospital located in Rome, Georgia. Serving as the main campus for Atrium Health Floyd, this hospital provides a certified Chest Pain Center, a designated Bariatric Surgery Center of Excellence and a Breast Imaging Center of Excellence. Atrium Health Floyd also is home to a state-designated Level II Trauma Center and a Level III Neonatal Intensive Care Unit, and has specialty centers for pediatrics, and wound care and hyperbaric therapy.

Department Information:

• Census: Average patients/day: 8-11 Patients per therapist per day.

Minimum Years of Experience required: Prefer 1 year of relevant experience

• Will you accept a first-time traveler: Yes

Patient Types/Common Diagnoses:

• orthopedics, debility, spinal cord, neurological disorders, multi-trauma, fractures, post-op, cardiac

Required License, National Certification, Certifications (BLS, ACLS, NIHSS, etc.), or other position specific requirements such as Driver's License and/or Insurance:

• Licensed in the state of Georgia, BLS
• SLP: Licensed in the state of Georgia, BLS

Skills required:

• Ability to treat above common diagnoses and work independently with minimal oversight.
• SLP: for Modified Barium Swallow test & FEEs assessments

Support within the Department:

• The Rehab department has over 20 Teammates (therapist and aides) working daily with Administration on site.

Technology/Equipment:

• EMR: EPIC
• Department specific Equipment for SLP: FEEs Fiberoptic endoscopic evaluation of swallowing

Floating: No

Orientation (facility and unit):

• NEO
• 3-5 days departmental (depending on relevant experience)

Scheduling:

• Weekend rotation: No
• On call: If so, what is that schedule: No
• Holiday Expectations: No
• RTO Requests: If participating in SimpliFi Clinical Interviewing – can we approve up to 7 days of RTO on your behalf, if traveler extends contract to accommodate: Yes
• Shift times: 5-8 s, 4-10 s (day off chosen by department and will be consistent throughout assignment)
