Essential Job Responsibilities Perform vehicle reconditioning and preventative maintenance on pre-owned inventory, including oil changes, tire replacement and rotation, wheel balancing, brake services, batteries, filters, and tune-ups. Conduct comprehensive multi-point inspections to identify mechanical, electrical, and safety concerns on used vehicles. Diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical systems, including engines, transmissions, steering, suspension, HVAC, and drivability issues. Ensure vehicles meet dealership, manufacturer, and state safety standards prior to sale. Verify vehicle serviceability through road tests; adjust controls and systems as needed. Complete all repair orders accurately and efficiently in the CDK system . Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area while properly using shop tools and equipment. Collaborate professionally with service advisors, parts department, and used car management to meet recon timelines. Maintain up-to-date technical knowledge and certifications as required. Move and park vehicles throughout the dealership and outdoor lot as needed. Perform all other duties as assigned. The position requires regular and predictable attendance. Scheduled shifts may include evenings, Saturdays, and holidays. Duties are performed throughout dealership facilities, both indoors and outdoors, with frequent movement around the service drive and vehicle lot. WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR? Pre-employment testing includes a successful background check and drug screening.
