Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA)The primary responsibility of the Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) is to provide direct physical therapy interventions as planned, delegated, and supervised by a licensed Physical Therapist. The PTA is entrusted with ensuring that the highest degree of quality care is delivered to patients at all times.ResponsibilitiesEvaluate, plan, and administer treatment to residents and patients with temporary or long-term disabilities to relieve pain, restore or improve function, and promote healing.Ensure that all treatment is delivered in accordance with an established plan of care.Provide clinical support and instruct patients, families, and caregivers.Monitor patient response to treatment interventions and adjust care as needed.Complete required forms and documentation in compliance with company policies as well as state and federal regulations.QualificationsAssociate degree from a CAPTE-accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program.Certification from the National Physical Therapy Exam (NPTE) for PTAs, administered by the Federation of State Boards of Physical Therapy (FSBPT).Strong understanding of human anatomy and physiology.Effective communication and interpersonal skills.Ability to follow instructions from a licensed Physical Therapist.Demonstrated empathy and patience when working with patients.Physical stamina to assist patients with movement and exercises.New graduates are welcome to apply for this opportunity.Client Details City Kirbyville State TX Pulse Healthcare
