Requirements Class A CDL with 2+ years of experience 23 years of age or older No serious violations in the past 3 years No more than 3 moving violations in the last 3 years No SAP program No more than 3 jobs in the past year Must be able to read, write, and communicate in English At least 21 years of age Valid Class A commercial driver's license (CDL-A) At least 1 year or 50,000 verifiable miles of tractor-trailer driving experience Must meet McLane's MVR and risk rating qualifications This position requires the ability to read, write, and understand English at a level sufficient to perform job-related tasks effectively and safely Pay (TraLo) Flatbed/Specialized: $0.65/mile with a $0.05/mile over dimension pay Estimated annual earnings: $80,000-$110,000 Up to a $0.05/mile safety/performance bonus Pay (Dry Van) Dry Van: $0.55-$0.65 per mile (based on experience) Estimated annual earnings: $80,000-$110,000 Up to a $0.05/mile safety/performance bonus Pay and Benefits (McLane) Pay Rate: Drivers make $70,000 to 90,000 first year. Sign On Bonus: $7500 for CDLA with 50K verified miles. Position is located in Ankeny, Iowa domicile and will dispatch from that location. Pay and Benefits (Alternate) Pay Rate: Drivers make $65,000 to 90,000 first year. Position is located in Ankeny, Iowa domicile and will dispatch from that location. What you’ll do as a CDL-A Delivery Driver Inspect tractor-trailer for defects pre/post trip and submit DOT inspection report indicating condition. Inspect bill of lading and store keys for accuracy in off-hour delivery. Drive tractor-trailer to destination, applying knowledge of commercial driving regulations and skill in maneuvering vehicle on the road and on customer premises. Maintain driver log (Manual or Peoplenet) according to DOT regulations, documenting delivery receipt, product temperatures and exceptions. Unload trailer, delivering product into customer premises. Other duties as assigned. This is a full-time position that will typically require at least 40 hours a week. Additional availability may be required during staffing challenges. Occasional evening hours and weekend work may be required as the job duties demand. Travel Local travel will be required for this position through the utilization of a company vehicle.
