Mammographer PRN – Days Work location: Texas Health Arlington, 800 W. Randol Mill Road, Arlington, TX76012. Work hours: PRN; Monday‑Friday days and one Saturday morning a month. Responsibilities Perform mammograms and diagnostic radiographs. Produce quality images in mammography as defined by the American College of Radiology guidelines. Possess standard and advanced positioning skills. Maintain quality assurance/control: phantom images, visual inspections, compression checks, screen contract, peer reviews, monthly checklist for all mammography units. Inform the physicist when any repairs are done on the mammography units as needed. Keep logs, preventive maintenance and physicist survey on all X‑ray equipment. Accurately enter patient data in the RIS system for patient tracking and exam verification. Present patient case history and images to Radiologists by pulling images from PACS and hanging analog films on multiple viewers as needed. Ensure patient safety by verifying patient with two identifiers, maintaining equipment cleanliness, inspecting, reporting malfunctions, and responding to emergency situations. Meet or exceed continuing education requirements for mammography and diagnostic radiology as required by state and regulatory bodies. Requirements Graduate of an accredited school of radiologic technology or Associate's Degree preferred. One year of clinical experience in mammography preferred; meet the mammography requirements as stated in the Federal Register for MQSA in Final Rules, Part900.12(a)(2) if applicable. ARRT certification in Mammography upon hire. CMRT certification (by TDH or TMB) upon hire. BCLS certification prior to providing independent patient care, maintained quarterly.
