About the Position

We are seeking an experienced  Progressive Care Unit (PCU) Registered Nurse  for a 13-week Float Pool assignment. The RN will float across multiple PCU/Intermediate Care (IMCU) units caring for patients with complex cardiac conditions. This role is ideal for nurses with strong cardiac and telemetry experience who thrive in a fast-paced acute care environment.

Responsibilities:

• Provide comprehensive nursing care to PCU and IMCU patients with complex cardiac conditions.
• Monitor and manage patients with STEMI, NSTEMI, chest pain, post-cardiothoracic surgery (CTS), and other cardiac diagnoses.
• Administer and titrate cardiac drips, including  Milrinone, Dobutamine, and Vasopressors , according to physician orders.
• Continuously assess patient status and respond promptly to changes in condition.
• Monitor telemetry rhythms and collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to deliver high-quality patient care.
• Accurately document patient care using  Epic EMR .
• Float to all PCU/IMCU units and telemetry beds based on staffing needs.
• Adhere to hospital policies, patient safety standards, and evidence-based nursing practices.

Requirements

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license.
• Minimum 2 years of recent PCU/IMCU experience in a similar-sized acute care hospital.
• Previous travel nursing experience required.
• Current  AHA BLS and  ACLS certifications.
• Epic EMR experience required.
• Strong experience with cardiac monitoring, telemetry interpretation, and vasoactive medication management.
