Full-Time Registered Nurse

Under general supervision, the Psychiatric Nurse assesses client health problems and needs, develops and implements nursing care plans, and maintains accurate medical records. Performs walk-in assessments at the crisis service center and documents findings in compliance with guidelines. Communicates effectively with psychiatric staff regarding patient behavior and treatment updates. Ensures safety by monitoring individuals, visitors, and staff, and educates staff on contraband risks and reporting procedures. Maintains and verifies equipment and supplies, including medication dispensing systems. Completes waived testing, laboratory procedures such as urine drug screens, urinalysis, and phlebotomy. Provides education on health maintenance and disease prevention, and may offer case management services. Qualifications include a Bachelor's degree in nursing or an Associate degree with a current Georgia RN license and relevant professional experience.
