Early Childhood Teaching Assistant

These principles serve as a foundation for all we do. We Have Two Positions Available Full-time, 12-month position working 40 hours per week, Monday – Friday. Part-time, 12-month position working 27.5 hours per week, Monday – Friday, 12:30pm – 6pm. Overview Of Essential Functions The Early Childhood Teaching Assistant will assist the lead teacher in supporting and nurturing the development of each child’s self-esteem, trust, and growing autonomy. Help assess children’s different personal needs, temperament styles, and abilities. Support the classroom team to plan and implement lesson plan activities and developmentally appropriate experiences. Attend regularly scheduled staff meetings, parent meetings, in-service training, and other meetings as directed. Education And Experience Must have the 90-hour preschool and 45-hour infant toddler classes. Must have First aid and CPR certification. Associate’s or bachelor’s degree preferred. Skills And Attributes Team player Strong commitment to working closely with students and colleagues in and out of the classroom. Compensation Range $20.00 – $23.00 per hour.
