As a Laborer/Groundman , you will develop new skills, work in a safety-minded environment, and join us in expanding technology for a better community. As a Laborer/Groundman , you are responsible for providing general labor for aerial and underground construction projects. You believe in doing the job right. Being the best. And you're up for the challenge.

In addition, you will:

• • Responsible for various manual tasks such as digging trenches, unloading building materials, and preparing job sites with the use of hand tools like shovels, rakes, and picks
  • Work in outdoor utility construction sites
  • Transport heavy equipment to and from the job site each day
  • Build and maintain aerial and underground cable systems
  • Troubleshoot problems as they arise in the field
  • Learn and train to use various kinds of tools and equipment
  • Work locally 50% of the year and travel 50% of the year within the Mid-West
  • Work on 7-10 day travel projects, 50+ hours a week

About You:

• Safety is part of your everyday mindset
• Hands-on problem solver who enjoys tackling challenging tasks
• At least 1 year of experience working outdoors, preferably in a utilities/construction environment
• Team-oriented and willing to get in the field alongside your crew
• Looking for long-term opportunities andgrowing within telecom construction (fiber splicing, coax, drilling, etc.)
• Physically able to lift up to 50 lbs, independently and consistently
• Willing and able to get a DOT Med Card if needed
• Valid driver's license with a clean record past 3 years Required (CDL prefered)
• Open to travel M-F per diem (up to 50% within MN/WI and 50+ hours per week, depending on the weather), and working overtime consistently
