Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care to adult patients on a Med Surg unit, including assessment, monitoring, and intervention.
• Administer prescribed medications and treatments; document care in the Meditech EMR.
• Monitor patient status, vital signs, and responses; escalate changes per clinical protocol and care plans.
• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to coordinate care, participate in rounds, and communicate patient needs.
• Ensure patient safety and implement infection control practices; assist with admissions, transfers, and discharges as needed.
• Be prepared to float to a rehab unit depending on census and unit needs.

Requirements

• Med Surg nursing experience
• Availability to work night shifts (7:00 PM–7:00 AM)
• Proficiency with Meditech EMR
• Ability to float to rehab unit as census requires
• Willingness to participate in a travel assignment for a 13-week contract
