Research & Faculty Awards Program Manager Location: Upper East Side Org Unit: Research Dean Work Days: Weekly Hours: 35.00 Exemption Status: Exempt Salary Range: $104,500.00 - $131,600.00 As required under NYC Human Rights Law Int 1208-2018 – Salary range for this role when hired for NYC Offices. Position Summary This role, working with the Associate Dean for Research, provides extensive programmatic and operational support to several nomination committees managed by the Office of the Research Dean. In collaboration with internal stakeholders, the role will expand industry and foundation opportunities to increase non‑traditional funding and sponsor engagement prospects. The incumbent collaborates closely with faculty members and acts as a liaison with external stakeholders to enhance nomination packages and maximize the potential for success. Job Responsibilities Manage several nominating committees for various research‑related awards and funding opportunities: coordinate meetings, communicate, and work with faculty members to assist in the preparation of nomination packages and funding or award opportunities. Maintain award outcomes and track success rate for awards managed by the Office of Research. Manage symposia and coordinate visits, including travel arrangements, advertising visits to the Weill Cornell community, preparing itineraries, processing reimbursements, and collecting feedback from faculty. Assist in drafting, reviewing, and editing non‑technical documents related to nomination packages and award/funding opportunities to develop compelling applications and maximize potential for successful packages. Work directly with faculty and others to collect application/nomination materials, serving as an intermediary between external members of the WCM community and nominees to facilitate completion of nomination packages or award/funding opportunities. Provide related support to leadership in the Office of Research as needed. Education Master’s degree required. PhD preferred. Experience Approximately 3‑5 years of related work experience. General knowledge of the grants management process is a plus. Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Approaches the role knowing internal and external customers’ expectations must be exceeded.
