As an App Software & AI Engineer, Advisor , you\u2019ll influence technical direction across multiple products and initiatives\u2014helping teams translate ambiguous business needs into scalable architectures, guiding design decisions, and ensuring solutions align with enterprise standards and long\u2011term strategy. You\u2019ll drive the adoption of AI across the software development lifecycle, mentor engineers at different stages of their careers, and partner closely with product, architecture, and business leaders to deliver secure, reliable, and future\u2011ready solutions that reduce carbon emissions and support a cleaner energy future.

Responsibilities

• Using software engineering principles, builds and deploys scalable fl stack enterprise applications (using React, Angular, Node.js, Python, and Express deployed on Azure or GCP cloud platforms), mobile applications (using iOS Swift, React Native, etc.), and low code/no code tools such as Power Platform.
• Leads the design and implementation of AI integrated solutions using technologies such as Azure OpenAI, Copilot Studio, and RAG architectures to build LLM powered agents, voice to text, image to text capabilities, and custom machine learning models.
• Provides technical guidance to the team, aligning with enterprise architecture and driving consensus on technical decisions using software engineering principles. Involves senior members and leadership in decision making.
• Mentors and coaches junior and senior developers through code reviews, pair programming, and continuous learning initiatives, promoting best practices in GitHub, CI/CD, and secure coding.
• Promotes AI adoption across the organization by identifying opportunities, conducting POCs, and integrating AI into SDLC, product management, and operations workflows using tools such as Copilot and Power Platform AI.
• Collaborates with cross functional stakeholders, including enterprise architecture, product owners, UX designers, and business leaders, to deliver well structured, maintainable, and impactful features for MVPs.
• Drives innovation by researching emerging technologies, proposing new tools and practices, and incubating ideas through rapid prototyping and MVP delivery using Design Thinking and Agile.
• Conducts technical evaluations, impact assessments, and solution prototyping to support agile delivery and continuous improvement of engineering processes.
• A material job duty of all positions within the Company is ensuring the protection of all its physical, financial, and cybersecurity assets and properly accessing and managing private customer data, proprietary information, confidential medical records, and other types of highly sensitive information and data with the highest standards of conduct and integrity.

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor\u2019s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field.
• Seven or more years of hands\u2010on full\u2010stack, enterprise\u2010scale experience in software development and delivery.
• One or more years of experience building, integrating, and scaling AI solutions.
• Three or more years of experience leading technical teams and mentoring and coaching other developers.

Preferred Qualifications

• Proven experience leading enterprise grade full stack application development , including designing scalable architectures and delivering maintainable solutions across multiple systems or domains.
• Deep hands on expertise with AI and Generative AI, including building and scaling solutions using large language models (LLMs) and designing Retrieval Augmented Generation (RAG) architectures to ground AI responses with enterprise data.
• Demonstrated ability to architect and deliver AI enabled applications and intelligent agents, translating complex business needs into secure, reliable, and production ready solutions.
• Three or more years of experience in building cloud-native solutions and deploying solutions on cloud-based architectures \u2013 Azure, GCP, and/or AWS and understanding of enterprise architectures.
• Strong command of modern engineering tools and practices, including Git based version control (e.g., GitHub), pull request and code review workflows, CI/CD pipelines, and proficiency with modern IDEs such as VS Code or equivalent.
• Experience leveraging AI assisted development tools (e.g., GitHub Copilot or similar) to increase developer productivity, improve code quality, and guide teams on effective usage.
• Solid understanding of secure software design, data privacy, and enterprise compliance, particularly when working with sensitive or regulated data.
• Ability to lead technical decision making and architectural direction, partnering with enterprise architects, product leaders, and cross functional stakeholders to align solutions with long term strategy.
• Proven leadership in mentoring engineers, driving innovation, and promoting AI adoption, including leading proof of concepts, demos, and thought leadership efforts across the organization.

Additional Information

• This position\u2019s work mode is hybrid.\u00a0 The employee will report to an SCE facility for a set number of days with the option to work remotely on the remaining days. Unless otherwise noted, employees are required to work and reside in the state of California. Further details of this work mode will be discussed at the interview stage.
