Overview
Our client, a corporate legal department, is seeking a Legal Assistant for a short-term contract assignment. This role will support the team with file organization, document management, and general legal administrative tasks. This is a great opportunity for someone detail-oriented who can step in quickly and provide immediate support.
Responsibilities
- Organize and maintain legal files, both electronic and physical
- Assist with document management, including filing, scanning, and indexing
- Support attorneys and legal staff with day-to-day administrative tasks
- Prepare and format basic legal documents and correspondence
- Track and manage records to ensure accuracy and compliance
- Assist with special projects and miscellaneous administrative duties as needed
Qualifications
- 1–3+ years of legal assistant or administrative experience, preferably in a corporate environment
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and document management systems
- Ability to handle confidential information with discretion
- Strong communication skills and ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Available to commit to a short-term assignment
