Under the general supervision of the Transportation Manager, the Final Mile Supervisor is responsible for the execution of daily Final Mile delivery operations, to include management of appointment scheduling, route planning, and supervision of shipment custody from unloading through load out. Manages driver staff, equipment, and all supporting functions, to include communications, training, maintenance, and compliance. Responsibilities Notifies customers about the planned arrival of deliveries Communicates with customers via email, text, and phone Sequences and schedules driver delivery routes Communicates with on-street drivers throughout the day regarding progress, problems with or changes to work assignments, etc. Prepares and processes driver operations documents (DVIRs, DRs, etc) Updates shipment statuses in operating systems Generates invoices for services produced and processes invoices for costs incurred Leads driver meetings re: safety, company info, policy / procedure, etc. Administers HR functions (hiring, drug screening, corrective action, etc) for driver staff Directs vehicle maintenance to include preventative maintenance, DOT and non-DOT repair, and all associated compliance documentation Performs other duties as assigned Preferred Qualifications Bachelor’s degree or equivalent Minimum 1 year transportation or dispatch experience Organizational abilities (prioritization, time management, process development and compliance) Proficiency with Microsoft Office Salary Range: $55,300.00 - $68,000.00 annually, based on experience.
