We are seeking an experienced  Real Estate Paralegal to provide dedicated support to two attorneys within a busy residential and commercial real estate practice. The ideal candidate will have 5+ years of hands-on real estate paralegal experience , strong organizational skills, excellent attention to detail, and the ability to effectively manage multiple matters and deadlines in a fast-paced, professional environment.

This role is ideal for a paralegal who is comfortable working closely with attorneys, taking ownership of assignments, and providing consistent, high-level support across multiple real estate matters.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive paralegal support to two attorneys handling a broad range of real estate matters at both a residential and commercial level.
• Assist with the preparation, review, organization, and management of real estate transaction documents, including using available systems to create such documents.
• Prepare and coordinate purchase and sale agreements, leases, amendments, closing documents, and related instruments .
• Assist with due diligence , including reviewing title commitments, surveys, zoning information, corporate records, and other property-related documents.
• Coordinate with clients, attorneys, title companies, lenders, brokers, and other parties involved in transactions.
• Assist with real estate closings , including preparation and organization of closing packages and post-closing documentation.
• Review title and survey matters and coordinate with attorneys regarding title objections and requirements.
• Conduct and assist with UCC, lien, judgment, entity, and other public-record searches as needed.
• Maintain organized electronic and physical files and ensure all transaction documents are properly tracked.
• Prepare correspondence, closing checklists, transaction summaries, and other legal documents.
• Monitor deadlines and proactively follow up with attorneys, clients, and third parties to keep matters moving forward.
• Assist with post-closing matters, including recording, document distribution, and maintaining closing files.
• Perform legal research and other paralegal duties as requested.

 

Qualifications

• 5+ years of real estate paralegal experience in a law firm or comparable legal environment.
• Strong knowledge of real estate transactions and closing procedures .
• Commercial real estate experience is highly preferred.
• Strong understanding of title commitments, surveys, leases, purchase and sale agreements, and closing documentation.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Highly organized with exceptional attention to detail.
• Ability to effectively prioritize work and manage competing deadlines for two attorneys .
• Ability to work independently while maintaining close communication with the attorneys.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Word and Outlook .
• Experience with legal case/document management systems, including real estate transactional systems such as ClosingVue and SoftPro , is a plus.
• Active Notary certification.
