CN Assistant, Sub Bus Driver, West Lincoln High SchoolPermanent / part-time / 4.5 hours per day / 10 months Dual Employment position. Must meet requirements for both positions.Reports To: Child Nutrition ManagerSalary / FLSA / Non-ExemptCN Assistant - Grade CN 50N ($16.07 - $18.73 per hour) Plus local supplement (if applicable)Sub Bus Driver – Grade 51B ($15.00 - $17.62 per hour)The salary for this position is based upon the successful applicant's years of service in the NC State Retirement System in the same or similar position. Experience outside of this system may not be recognized for pay purposes. For current Lincoln County School employees, this position will be paid according to the current Lincoln County Schools' pay scale.Qualifications / RequirementsHigh School Diploma or GED requiredMust be able to pass a drug test, background check, and TB test before starting employment.Valid driver's license and driving record that qualifies employee to obtain and maintain a valid NCCDL and drive a bus as directed by supervisor.Must comply with all rules and regulations governing the safe operation of a school busMust be able to tolerate bending, stooping, squatting, reaching, pulling, pushing, and repetitive motionPrefer experience in food serviceAbility to follow written and oral instructionsAbility to read, write and keep recordsAbility to perform simple calculationsMust be able to tolerate exposure to extremes of temperaturesMust be able to perform very heavy work exerting in excess of 100 pounds of force occasionally, and/or in excess of 50 pounds of force frequently, and/or in excess of 20 pounds of force constantly to lift objectsKnowledge / Abilities / DutiesTo serve the students attractive and nutritious meals in an atmosphere of efficiency, cleanliness, and friendlinessAssist in the preparation of food portions and prepares cafeteria counterServes students and staff from the cafeteria counterRemoves used dishes and assists in the cleaning of counters, tables, and furnishings in the dining areaMaintains the trash and garbage collection area in a neat and sanitary fashionPerforms related duties as required including duties at special meal functionsMaintain compliance with all applicable food safety and sanitation rules and regulations at all times, as detailed in HACCPReads recipes and directions for numbers of meals to be servedCalculates amount of ingredients for number of portions to be servedMeasures and mixes ingredientsComputes time to be used in preparing and finishing products on timePortions product into prescribed serving sizeArranges food and supplies to retain sanitation and qualityNotifies manager of equipment repairs neededRecords material and supplies neededSafely transport students to and from school as neededOther duties as assigned by the CN ManagerApplication Deadline: Open Until FilledApplication Process: All candidates are required to complete an on-line application via Applicant Tracking.
