Medical Director

The Medical Director will play a vital role in supporting interdisciplinary collaboration and ensuring the highest standards of behavioral health care for our clients. Position Summary The Medical Director is responsible for providing psychiatric evaluations, medication management, treatment planning, and clinical guidance while collaborating with clinical, nursing, and educational teams to promote integrated care and positive client outcomes. Key Responsibilities Provide psychiatric evaluations, diagnosis, and treatment services Prescribe and manage psychiatric medications Participate in multidisciplinary treatment planning Collaborate with therapists, nursing staff, and academic teams Ensure compliance with state, federal, and accreditation standards Support quality improvement initiatives and clinical best practices Consult with families and treatment teams as neededContribute to program development and clinical leadership Weekly Clinical Treatment Team/Case Consults PMHNP Supervision ED/CD/Providers/DON on processes, meds, high risk cases, training/development for team etc. Peer to Peer reviews for authorizations Restraint Orders Sign Offs On-Call Consults (these do not happen very often but a couple times per year) Quarterly Med Exec Calls Estimation of 60 hours per month Requirements Qualifications MD or DO degree from an accredited medical school Board Certified or Board Eligible in Psychiatry Active Arizona medical license (or eligibility) DEA registration and prescriptive authority Experience working with adolescents, behavioral health, or residential treatment preferred Strong communication and collaborative leadership skills #J-18808-Ljbffr MMYTC
