The Senior Financial Analyst will serve as a finance partner to FSS leadership, supporting planning, forecasting, close, reporting, and financial insights that help the organization achieve strategic and operational goals. The individual will have visibility into enterprise priorities and financial trends and will be expected to collaborate across teams while maintaining the confidentiality of sensitive data. A successful candidate will challenge the status quo, translate data into actionable insights, and identify opportunities to improve reporting, processes, and decision support. The ideal candidate should be analytical, proactive, flexible, and possess a strong drive to meet and exceed expectations.Partner with FSS leadership to develop annual expense budgets, forecasts, and long-range plansPerform monthly close dutiesPrepare executive level summaries and presentations to explain monthly results using both established and ad hoc reportsReview key expense variances and their impact on future months results to ensure accurate forecastingManage large datasets and improve reporting through automation and visualization tools and enhanced database capabilities.Provide guidance to FSS leaders to help them achieve business, productivity, and spending goalsIdentify opportunities to share best practices and standardize reporting across the departmentConduct monthly P&L reviews to provide insights into financial performance and balance of year expectationsCollaborate with business partners to ensure risks to forecasts are appropriately identified and communicatedSupport FSS business partners' needs and create business cases as neededIdentify opportunities to streamline and/or automate existing processesLeverage new tools and technologies (e.g., Power BI) to track key performance indicators such as volume and productivityPerform other ad hoc analysis as neededMinimum Requirements3+ years of experience analyzing financial statements, forecasts, month-end close, and budgets.Critical SkillsExceptional data analytics and research skills to identify trends and provide resolutions to a moderately complex business needsExperience creating and managing visualization toolsProficiency in utilizing financial systems to consolidate and report on plans and forecasts.Advanced MS Excel skills to manage and create reports that drive decisions.Strong internal customer service and ability to collaborate across teamsExceptional communications skills (clear and concise communication to senior leadership)Ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive financial data.Ability to work with moderate guidance in areas of knowledge.Ability to provide resolutions to moderately complex problems.Additional SkillsExperience with Hyperion Planning/SAP is preferredExperience utilizing Power BI is preferredEducation RequirementsBachelor's degree with an emphasis in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration or relevant field of studyCareer LevelP3We are proud to offer a competitive compensation package at McKesson as part of our Total Rewards. The pay range shown below is aligned with McKesson's pay philosophy, and pay will always be compliant with any applicable regulations.
