Job Description Position Summary: \n Provide equipment, refrigeration and HVAC maintenance, repair and support to assigned service calls. RESPONSIBILITIES\n \n * Drive independently to stores on a daily basis as assigned. \n * Perform various preventive maintenance tasks and procedures, including audits.. \n * Perform repairs to systems. \n * Navigate and investigate electronic controls interfaces. \n * Assist with and perform various preventive maintenance tasks and procedures to buildings and equipment. \n * Troubleshoot issues and repair equipment. \n * Perform compressor, large motor and component replacement. \n * Maintain an accurate and organized inventory of parts. \n * Operate equipment, vehicles, powered industrial trucks and aerial lifts safely. \n * Clean and maintain company service vehicles, if one is assigned. \n * Orally communicate with store personnel regarding the proper use of equipment as it relates to repeat calls and overtime. \n * Utilize company email system to send and receive messages. \n * Properly complete all repair, labor, parts purchasing and usage documentation in a timely fashion. \n * Comply with all department and company policies and procedures. \n * Provide input to supervisor and management towards maintenance Best Practices. \n * Audit registered store equipment identification lists. \n * Assist other skilled trade technicians in repairs as requested. \n * Provide feedback on performance reviews. \n * Coach, mentor and train other technicians. \n * Physical demands include, but are not limited to, high aptitude for standing and walking endurance, sitting while driving to various stores, lifting and carrying up to 70 pounds, pushing and pulling climbing ladders of various types, bending, squatting, and kneeling, and working in different temperatures inside and outside the store. \n * Ability to work cooperatively in high paced and sometimes stressful environment. \n * Ability to manage conflict in a reasonable, nonconfrontational and cooperative manner. \n * Ability to act with honesty and integrity regarding customer and business information. \n * Ability to follow directions and seek assistance when necessary to resolve customer and business issues. \n * Provide support and assistance through direct interaction with minors, individuals with special needs, and/or older adults. \n * Must be able to perform the essential functions of this position with or without reasonable accommodation.

* Experience reading engineering drawings, manuals and schematics \n * Advanced technical training or related technical certifications \n * Supervisory experience \n * High school diploma or equivalent \n * 57 years proven refrigeration/HVAC experience and satisfactory overall performance \n * EPA Type 2 Certification \n * Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office \n * Ability to use control manufacturers software \n * Must hold and maintain a valid drivers license \n * Ability to work a flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, holidays and overtime when necessary \n * Demonstrated mentoring and training experience \n Kroger
