Körber Technologies, Inc., a Sales and Service Company serving the North American Tobacco Industry, has an outstanding career opportunity available for a Machinist to join our team. As a Machinist you will be working in the Parts Manufacturing/Inspection department to produce parts meeting specifications. Your role in our team You will perform diversified machining operations including set up Work with minimal supervision, with or without process sheet information You have working knowledge of computers Work independently performing assigned duties while ensuring quality workmanship Use necessary precision measuring equipment ensuring acceptable functionality of parts or assemblies Determine and use the proper tools for each assignment You will keep all equipment and work areas clean, and perform all activities in a safe manner You will move material within the department by use of a hand truck or other material handling device Report malfunction of equipment to supervisor, and perform all other duties as assigned Your profile You are a high school graduate with completion of a state-certified Apprenticeship program as a Machinist You have a minimum of five years of experience as a Machinist Experience operating CNC and manual lathes (0.5”–15” diameters), as well as CNC and manual mills, grinders, and drill presses Ability to lift and carry up to 40 pounds up to four times per hour You have good eyesight for use of precision measuring instruments You have hearing ability that allows detection of abnormal cutting and bearing sounds Ability to remain on feet for eight-hour shift Your Benefits Competitive salary Flexible working hours Paid vacation Vacation purchase program Sick days Paid holidays 401k Plan with a $1 for $1 match up to 6% of your base income Medical, dental, vision insurance plans Basic life and disability insurances, both short and long term, paid by employer Voluntary life insurance purchase program Training and Development Program Your working environment At Körber Technologies, Inc., you will work in an innovative, friendly, diverse environment.
