You'll support store leadership in driving daily operations, developing staff, managing cash and inventory, and ensuring a compliant, customer-first environment. This is a high-impact role for someone who thrives in a fast-paced, highly regulated retail setting and is ready to grow their leadership career in cannabis.Key Responsibilities:Operations & ComplianceOversee daily store operations and ensure adherence to all SOPs and company policiesManage shift coverage, staffing adjustments, and timesheet accuracyEnsure full compliance with all state cannabis regulations and internal proceduresSupport change management implementations and ensure SOP updates are communicated and trained to all staffCash ManagementOpen and close petty cash banksFacilitate cash vault services, pickups, and dropoffsReconcile EOD cash reports and manage POS/card/cash accuracyInventory ManagementReceive deliveries and process vendor returnsRestock products and maintain accurate inventory levelsConduct audits, adjustments, and oversee inventory destructionTeam Leadership & DevelopmentSupervise, mentor, and develop a team of retail employeesFacilitate new hire training and ongoing sales and leadership coachingComplete incident reports and maintain thorough documentation for performance managementMake recommendations for promotions and terminationsEnsure team compliance with attendance policiesCustomer ExperienceSet the standard for excellent, compliant customer service on the floorHandle escalated customer issues with professionalism and efficiencyCoach budtenders in real time on product knowledge, service standards, and complianceManage customer queue and support floor operations during peak hoursVisual Merchandising & MarketingManage in-store digital menus, displays, and kiosk menusMaintain print signage and bannersImplement sales and promotional content and gather customer feedback on campaignsReportingComplete EOD, cash bank, and labor cost reportingTrack transaction value and customer complaintsReport employee relations issues, progressive discipline actions, and HR matters to leadershipQualifications:Must be at least 21 years of ageHigh school diploma or equivalent required2+ years of retail, hospitality, or customer service experience required; supervisory experience preferredCannabis industry experience a plus — not requiredStrong leadership, communication, and conflict resolution skillsComfortable working in a highly regulated, compliance-driven environmentProficiency with POS systems and inventory software; cannabis seed-to-sale experience a plusAbility to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends, and holidaysMust be able to regularly lift up to 50 pounds and stand for up to 8 hours per shiftMust meet all state requirements for employment in a licensed cannabis facilityCompensation & Benefits:$24.04/hr. | Full-time, 40 hours per weekEmployee DiscountHealth benefits available, including both high-deductible and low-deductible plan optionsEmployee Assistance Program (EAP)Earned Sick & Safe Time (ESST)Holiday Pay for anyone working New Year's Day, 4/20, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day, and Christmas DayAt Minnesota Cannabis Services, we believe great teams are built on trust, initiative, and follow-through.
