**Certifications Required:** - ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) - BLS (Basic Life Support) - CPI (Crisis Prevention Intervention) **Advanced Skills Needed:** - Knowledge of: - Vents (ventilators) - Drips (sedation, vasoactive, etc.) - Care of CVC (Central Venous Catheter) lines **Procedures Performed on Unit:** - Bronchoscopy - Placement of CVC lines - Placement of chest tubes - Sometimes bedside scopes (EGD, Colonoscopy, PEG tube placement, trach placement) **Scheduling Requirements:** - Three 12-hour shifts **Floating Policy:** - May have to float **Patient Ratios:** - 2:1 sometimes 3:1 **Documentation System:** - MedHost **Type of Equipment:** - Mindray Datascope
