Clinical / Medical Laboratory Scientist

Jackson HealthPros is hiring a Clinical / Medical Laboratory Scientist (formerly Medical Technologist) to perform diagnostic testing on patient samples and analyze test results for accuracy, acceptability, and critical limits to aid physicians in the diagnosis or monitoring of various disease states.

Minimum Requirements

• Associate or bachelor's degree in related field as required by individual clients
• Valid ASCP or AMT certification required
• In licensure states, Laboratory Licensure in appropriate specialty for the department or location assignment as applicable to the state
• 1 year of experience as a CLS / MLS / Med Tech
• BLS certification
• Full laboratory license required. Associate-level license will not be considered.
• ASCP certification as MLS, CLS, MT Medical Technologist, or equivalent required.
• At least 2 years of experience working in a hospital laboratory environment as an MLT or MLS required.
• Ability to perform clerical duties as assigned in support of department operations.
• Adherence to standard lab safety protocols required by CLIA and CAP.

Assignment Details

• Shift hours: 1900-0700.
• Schedule: 7 on, 7 off.
• 10 hours per day.
• No on-call requirements.
• Weekend requirement: Every other weekend.
