The Ohio Veterans Home in Georgetown offers 168 beds for nursing home care with two levels of care: standard care for veterans in need of intermediate level care and memory care for veterans with Alzheimer’s disease and other types of dementia. Job Details Location: Southern Ohio Veterans Home, Georgetown, OH Primary Location: United States of America – OHIO – Brown County – Georgetown Schedule: Full‑time (3pm–11:30pm) Union: 1199 Classified Indicator: Classified Compensation: $34.96/hr Key Responsibilities Provide professional nursing and/or emergency health care to residents, including assessing, evaluating needs, administering prescribed medications, performing daily rounds, and recording resident condition. Lead operations of assigned unit or shift; direct health care staff (RNs, LPNs, hospital aides), schedule, assign, review, and delegate work. Perform related clerical and administrative tasks, such as charting medication usage, maintaining inventory of controlled drugs, compiling required reports, and arranging appointments with outside medical providers. Participate on committees, serve as member or leader of problem‑solving teams or groups, and attend staff and in‑service meetings. Qualifications Current licensure as a registered professional nurse in the state of Ohio, issued by the Board of Nursing per Section 4723.03 of Ohio Revised Code. Experience in nursing and direct patient care, including use of medical and nursing procedures.
