Summary The Shared Services and Purchasing Manager provides daily oversight and delivery of all shared services and purchasing functions for the organization. Responsibilities include managing service delivery, category spend, suppliers, purchase order alignment, onboarding of new groups, and ensuring service standards align with corporate objectives. Responsibilities Manage a team supporting delivery of shared services and purchasing across the organization. Develop and execute strategies for shared services categories aligned with company objectives. Oversee travel services, including online booking tool, travel management company, and expense reporting tool. Manage processes, systems, tools, workflows, and procedures to maximize the user experience. Onboard new groups to systems and processes following acquisitions or mergers. Continuously evaluate shared services providers and ensure performance meets standards and expectations. Resolve issues and align providers with organizational objectives. Provide general management responsibilities—direct, motivate, and develop team members. Apply reasoning and problem‑solving skills to evaluate alternative solutions and select the most appropriate one. Communicate effectively in writing and verbally to appropriate audiences. Apply industry knowledge (shared services, regulatory considerations, fraud prevention) to improve operations. Maintain a customer‑service oriented approach and proactively seek ways to help people. Use Microsoft Office applications to enhance overall organizational efficiency. Qualifications 10 years of relevant experience in leading purchasing and shared services management functions. 10 years of experience in the financial services industry. 10 years of supervisory or managerial roles. Bachelor’s degree in a business‑related field is required; high school diploma or equivalent acceptable with applicable experience. Preferred Requirements Industry certifications such as CPM, APICS, CPSM, CSPM, Certified Travel Expert (CTE). 15+ years of leading shared services and purchasing experience. 15+ years of experience in the financial services industry. Demonstrated experience implementing or re‑implementing shared services and purchasing functions. Work Schedule Hybrid schedule requiring a minimum of four days per week in the office.
