And now we are looking for a Senior Alliance Manager to join our rapidly growing Data business. This role is key to ensuring success and delivering value across our key partnerships with pharmaceutical and biotechnology companies across data and other Tempus product and service lines as needed.Senior Alliance Manager - DataThe Senior Alliance Manager is responsible for cultivating and growing Tempus partnerships with life science companies to support them in advancing their research and clinical programs using Tempus products. The ideal candidate has a bias for action to ensure our partnerships are successful, possesses strong strategic and problem-solving skills to navigate complex collaborations, and demonstrates a deep understanding of scientific and business needs to drive meaningful outcomes.ResponsibilitiesServe as the primary point of contact for collaborations, ensuring satisfaction and value across a portfolio of products and projects to drive value for customersDevelop and maintain relationships with stakeholders in client organizations through regular engagement, including in-person meetingsPlan and lead meetings with partner organizations, including steering committees, strategic business reviews, progress updates, etc.Develop a deep understanding of collaboration agreements and work with internal teams to ensure precise execution, tracking milestones, deliverables, and performance metricsOrganize and oversee data provisioning operations for clients in collaboration with internal teams, proactively identifying risks and resolving issuesConduct regular health checks on accounts, monitoring the status of active projects and proposals to ensure alignment and progressFacilitate coordination between Tempus' subject matter experts, Business Development, and other internal teams as appropriate to align on strategic initiatives and ensure all stakeholders are engaged appropriately to ensure a collaboration’s successServe as the champion for the strategic intent of the partnership, identifying and pursuing opportunities to expand the collaborationAct as the point of escalation internally and externally, resolving issues and conflicts, and providing strategic recommendations for solutionsIdentify opportunities and lead / support efforts to streamline operations and enhance internal and external partner and customer experiencesConduct in-depth research on partner organizations, including structure, strategy, pipeline, and decision-making processes to maximize partnership successStay updated on relevant M&A activities, regulatory decisions, and product approvals or denials to anticipate partner needsTravel approximately 5-10% of working timeQualifications5+ years of years of experience in go-to-market, strategy, operations, or consultingPreferably 3+ years working with companies who serviced Life Sciences companies in Research & Development and/or Real Word DataWillingness to take initiative to get things doneThrives in a high growth, rapidly evolving business environment with expertiseNavigating ambiguous situations with high levels of autonomyProactive mindset that can operationalize new solutions, and help move both internal and external stakeholders to quickly solve problemsProven ability to navigate multi-faceted client organizations with success, with a track record of delivering customer and business outcomes in a fast-growing environmentUnderstanding of translational research, discovery, and clinical development at biotech and pharmaceutical companiesAdvanced understanding of biology and therapeutic interventions in OncologyExceptional account management, articulation of issues and an ability to navigate a wide range of stakeholders to solve problemsBachelor degree in a Science or Business discipline; Advanced degree (MBA, MD, PhD, or Healthcare certification) preferred#LI-BL1Chicago Salary Range: $130,000-$180,000NYC/Boston Salary Range: $140,000-$190,000The expected salary range above is applicable if the role is performed from Illinois and may vary for other locations (California, Colorado, New York). Actual salary may vary based on qualifications and experience.
