Senior Principal Engineer, Plastics Molding — Pharmaceutical Manufacturing & Medical Devices

Enterprise-level engineering leadership role for plastics molding technologies in regulated pharmaceutical and medical device manufacturing. Leads complex injection and blow molding projects from design through validation, ensuring compliance and manufacturing readiness.
Responsibilities
- Lead medium to large molding engineering projects through design, procurement, qualification, and sustained support
- Develop injection and blow molding solutions meeting product, process, quality, cost, and regulatory requirements
- Provide technical direction on equipment, tooling, automation, resins, and manufacturing readiness
- Plan and execute FMEAs, DOE, dimensional analysis, SPC, FAT, and validation activities
- Support supplier selection, performance monitoring, and technical issue resolution
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Plastics Engineering, or related field
- 8–10 years engineering or operational experience in regulated industries
- 3+ years plastic injection or blow molding design and process support
- Proficiency with molding equipment, processes, resins, tooling, and SPC analysis
- Demonstrated experience with FMEA, DOE, dimensional analysis, FAT, and validation
- Knowledge of CAD platforms including SolidWorks, Creo, and AutoCAD
- Supplier management and design control expertise in quality systems
