Head of Engineering, Virtual Reality and Augmented Reality About the Company Leading provider of high-quality virtual reality solutions Industry Consumer Services Type Privately Held About the Role The Company is seeking a Head of Engineering to spearhead the development and execution of cutting-edge virtual reality solutions. This pivotal role involves leading the engineering team in the design, development, and implementation of VR projects, driving technical strategy and innovation in VR and AR technologies, and ensuring high-quality product delivery. The successful candidate will also be responsible for fostering a culture of collaboration and excellence within the team, mentoring and guiding engineering staff, and managing project timelines, resources, and deliverables to meet organizational goals. Applicants for the Head of Engineering position at the company should have a proven track record in a leadership role within an engineering team, with a strong proficiency in Unity and VR development. The role requires excellent leadership and communication skills, as well as a Bachelor's degree in engineering, computer science, or a related field. Familiarity with C#, game development, and software engineering principles is essential, and experience in AR, cybersecurity, hardware, DevOps, and previous roles as Director or VP is considered a plus. The ideal candidate will be adept at collaborating with cross-functional teams and ensuring adherence to best practices in software and hardware development processes.
