PATIENT TRANSPORTER (FULL TIME AND PART TIME)

Job Summary We are hiring immediately for full‑time and part‑time PATIENT TRANSPORTER positions at Inova Loudoun Hospital in Leesburg, VA. Pay range: $16.50–$17.50 per hour. Prior customer service experience is preferred. Location Inova Loudoun Hospital – 44045 Riverside Park, Leesburg, VA 20176. Schedule Full‑time and part‑time schedules are available. Hours and days may vary. Further details will be provided during the interview. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Transport patients safely and efficiently, securing IVs, drainage tubes, and other necessary equipment. Use wheelchairs and other approved rolling stock as required. Demonstrate competency in transporting patients of all age groups. Maintain clear communication with nursing personnel, clinicians, technicians, and reception/dispatch staff. Ensure patient comfort by offering blankets, checking modesty, and engaging in appropriate conversation. Never transport patients in severe pain and immediately alert nursing staff to any signs of distress or equipment malfunction. Maintain equipment and report any items requiring repair. Comply with federal, state, and JCAHO regulatory standards. Adhere to confidentiality and patient rights policies as outlined in the facility’s HIPAA procedures. Perform other duties as assigned.
