Exercise Physiologist

Your future role at a glance Location:3700 Bellemeade Ave, Evansville, IN Facility: Ascension St. Vincent Evansville Department/Specialty: Schedule: PRN, Mon-Fri, Day shift How you'll make an impact in this role Implement and supervise physical exercise programs for patients. Provide patient testing and assessment before and after rehabilitation. Plan and teach exercise therapy for patients utilizing test data, patient status and current medication regimen. Monitor patient\'s response and revise plan accordingly. Recognize contraindications and abnormal patient responses to exercise. Respond appropriately to all situations including exercise cessation and referral to medical professionals. Provide exercise information for patients, peers and the community which may include public speaking and education classes. Ensure department equipment is properly maintained, calibrated and functioning correctly. Prepare develops and maintains various files, records, reports; schedules patient appointments as required. Provide oversight to department activities in the absence of the manager. What minimum qualifications you\'ll need Licensure / Certification / Registration: BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted. Athletic Trainer credentialed from the Indiana Athletic Trainers Board preferred. Certification specializing in Sports Medicine preferred. Exercise Physiologist credentialed from the American College of Sports Medicine (ACSM) preferred. Education: Bachelors degree required. Masters degree preferred.
