Key Qualifications:
- Valid California licensure as an Education Specialist Instruction (R3EN or Mod/Severe)
- Prior experience with ESN (Extensive Support Needs) students preferred
- Skilled in individualized and specialized lesson planning
- Proficient in IEP implementation and progress monitoring
- Ability to adapt curriculum for students with a wide range of abilities
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and organizational skills
Primary Responsibilities:
- Deliver tailored instruction to students with moderate to severe disabilities, onsite
- Implement and consistently monitor Individualized Education Program (IEP) goals
- Modify classroom materials and approaches to accommodate diverse learning needs
- Provide academic, behavioral, communication, and functional life skills support
- Teach adaptive daily living skills to foster independence
- Diligently document student progress and maintain thorough records
- Collaborate closely with parents, general education staff, aides, therapists, nurses, and administrators to ensure wraparound support
- Serve as a key resource for students dealing with complex medical, sensory, or behavioral needs
