Respiratory Care PractitionerThe Respiratory Care Practitioner possesses sufficient training and experience to perform independent professional respiratory care diagnostic and therapeutic procedures, clinical evaluations of care including the establishment of therapeutic objectives and the review of care. Supports the mission, philosophy and objectives of Hunterdon Medical Center. Primary position responsibilities include facilitating and coordinating duties relating to respiratory care, documentation and charging of patient care, maintaining professional development, maintaining patient safety, patient advocate, performing pulmonary function testing if applicable, and other duties as assigned.Work contact group includes HMC employees, providers, patients and family, visitors, and vendors. Reporting relationships include reporting to the Director ICU and respiratory therapy indirect to the Manager, Pulmonary Services.Qualifications include a graduate from a respiratory therapy program, two years of acute care experience, New Jersey License in Respiratory and CPR certification, ACLS certification required, PALS Certification for full and part time staff, and knowledge of hospital approved equipment including bipap/cpap, ventilators, end tidal CO2, high flow oxygen therapy, and all other components of respiratory care.Hunterdon Health is committed to providing a competitive benefit package to our employees.
