The Financial Analyst plays a key role in supporting organizational decision-making by providing data, analysis, and insights that inform strategic initiatives and Board reporting requirements. This position is responsible for analyzing health plan, financial, operational, and statistical data; developing analytical models; preparing recurring and ad hoc reports, dashboards, and financial summaries; performing forecasting, budgeting, and business analyses; supporting actuarial projects and regulatory filings; and serving as a resource to leadership and cross-functional teams in evaluating business performance and strategic initiatives. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Collects, analyzes, and interprets financial, operational, utilization, and statistical data to support organizational decision-making, strategic initiatives, and Board reporting requirements. Develops, maintains, and distributes recurring and ad hoc reports, dashboards, presentations, and analytical models related to revenues, medical expenses and utilization, capitation, risk scores, medical loss ratios, provider performance, and other key business metrics. Prepares financial and operational analyses, including trend analyses, variance analyses, forecasting, budgeting support, and performance monitoring to identify risks and opportunities impacting organizational results. Works closely with consulting actuaries and internal departments to support Medicare bids, rate‑setting, underwriting, risk score analyses, actuarial projects, and regulatory filings. Partners with leadership and cross‑functional teams to gather, validate, and analyze data; provide analytical support for business decisions; and identify opportunities for process improvement and reporting automation. Monitors regulatory and industry developments, evaluates their operational and financial impact on CCHP. Perform additional duties as assigned. Provides excellent services to internal and external customers Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, Healthcare Administration, or related field required; MBA and/or CPA preferred. Minimum of 3–5 years of healthcare finance, financial analysis, accounting, reporting, or related experience required. Prior accounting experience and experience preparing executive‑level reports, dashboards, and financial analyses preferred. Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and experience with financial systems, reporting tools, and data analysis preferred. Demonstrated attention to detail with strong organizational skills and the ability to manage changing priorities. Strong analytical, critical thinking, and problem‑solving skills Ability to work independently and collaboratively with cross‑functional teams in a fast‑paced environment. Excellent time management, organizing and coordinating skills. Familiar with health care financing, provider contractual arrangements, and Medicare and Covered CA bid processes. Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills. Physical Requirements Able to lift up to 30 pounds Use proper body mechanics when handling equipment Standing, walking and moving 50% of the day. Compliance Requirements Complies with CCHP Compliance Handbook including Code of Ethics and all statutes, regulations, guidelines applicable to federal and state programs. Responsibilities include, following the guidelines and reporting suspected violations of any statute, regulations, agreements or guidelines applicable to all healthcare programs. Base Pay Scale Starting at $91,478 – $137,093. The salary of the finalist selected for this role will be set based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to, internal equity, experience, education, specialty and training.
