Job Summary The PLR Crane Operator is responsible for providing lifting and hoisting services to customers by performing crane setup, pre-operation inspection, rigging, and crane operation. Responsibilities Assembles and installs supporting structures, rigging, hoist, and pulling gear Attaches load to rigging to provide support or prepare for moving using hand and power tools Connects pulleys and blocks to fixed overhead structures with bolts, shackles, and clamps Cleans and dresses machine and surfaces of parts Controls movements of heavy equipment through narrow openings or confined spaces Dismantles maintains, and stores rigging equipment Manipulates rigging lines and hoist to move or support materials, steel, concrete, etc. Selects gear, shackles, and cables according to load size, facilities, and work schedule Signals or gives verbal directions to workers engaged in hoisting and moving loads to ensure the safety of workers and materials Tests rigging to ensure safety and reliability before engaging in hoisting or lifting Supervisory Responsibilities: Ability to respectfully confront people when needed and lead through example Other duties as assigned by supervisors Prolift Rigging Offers Competitive salary Bonus program that pays for performance 401(k) Medical, Dental, and Vision coverage Vacation and Holiday Pay Disability Insurance Life Insurance Other additional personal and professional benefits are available Required Qualifications Communication Skills Reasoning Ability Must understand safety procedures and demonstrate good safety awareness Willing to travel Must pass a drug test and background check Education HS diploma or equivalent Certificates, Licenses, Registrations CDL – CLASS A or B required OSHA 10 -preferred NCCCO Rigger a plus TWIC-preferred EOE/AA Minority/Female/Disability/Veteran #J-18808-Ljbffr The Prolift Rigging Company
