Responsibilities include :Assists Physical Therapist with the administration of interventions utilized in physical therapy and rehabilitationMay progress patients in the treatment plan developed by the physical therapistCommunicates with all physicians involved in the plan of care and other healthcare practitioners (as appropriate) related to the current plan of careFollows established procedures, emergency and safety precautions at all times in the treatment of patients and use of modalitiesMaintains timely communications, records, reports, and other documentation in accordance with agency policies & procedures, and Medicare guidelinesCaptures documentation during the home visit following company policy using company issued laptopAssists in progressing therapy programs with prior assessments and approval, prepares clinical progress notes and participates case conference and utilization reviewsRequired Certifications and Licensures:Physical Therapist Assistant State of Florida LicensureDriver's License State of Florida (Florida driver's license is required within 30 days of hire)Basic Life SupportEducation:Associates Degree Physical Therapy AssistantExperience:1 year Physical Therapy Assistant experiencePreferred 1 year Home CareThis position requires Level II screening through the Florida Care Provider Background Screening Clearinghouse, managed by the Agency for Health Care Administration (AHCA).
