Behavior Technician (BT) - Part Time
Location : Brooklyn, NY 11214
Setting : Client’s home
We are looking for a caring and dependable Behavior Technician (BT) to work one-on-one with children in their home. In this role, you will help teach everyday skills and support positive behavior using simple, step-by-step plans.
You will not be working alone. Your sessions will be guided by a BCBA (Board Certified Behavior Analyst) , a licensed professional who designs the child’s program and supports you along the way.
What You Will Do
- Work directly with a child in their home
- Teach communication, social, and daily living skills
- Help reduce challenging behaviors using positive strategies
- Follow a clear plan created by a supervising BCBA
- Take notes on progress during sessions
- Communicate professionally with supervisors and caregivers
What We’re Looking For
- Experience working with children is preferred, but not required
- Patience, reliability, and a positive attitude
- Willingness to learn and take feedback
- Ability to maintain professionalism and follow instructions
- Must pass required background checks
Schedule
- Part-time
- Monday, Wednesday and Friday from 3:00-6:00pm (weekend options available)
- Regular, scheduled hours discussed during the interview
