Occupational Therapist - LymphedemaAquilino Cancer Center seeks to hire an Occupational Therapist for our Outpatient Rehabilitation department who will embrace our mission to extend God's care through the ministry of physical, mental, and spiritual healing.As a Lymphedema Occupational Therapist, you will:Perform an initial examination and evaluation to establish an impairment/diagnosis, prognosis, and plan of care prior to intervention for all persons served with basic rehabilitation needs in acute care, outpatient, or inpatient rehabilitation settings.Provide, or direct and supervise, the therapy intervention consistent with the results of the examination, evaluation, diagnosis, prognosis, and plan of care.In consultation with appropriate disciplines, plan for discharge of the patient/client taking into consideration achievement of anticipated goals and expected outcomes, and provide for appropriate follow-up or referral.Communicate, coordinate, and document all aspects of patient/client management including the results of the initial examination and evaluation, diagnosis, plan of care, interventions, response to interventions, barriers to progress, changes in patient/client status relative to the interventions, reexamination, and discharge/discontinuation of intervention and other patient/client management activities with members of the care team as indicated.Supervise and direct the patient care activities of assigned rehab aides, office assistants, and volunteers.Manage schedule to accommodate range in census and patient load and inform management of any issues with caseload management.Attend team meetings and effectively communicate patient status, using, if needed, the medical record or other treating therapists to ensure sufficient knowledge of the case.Be responsible for individual professional development activities.Qualifications include:Bachelor, Master, or Doctorate in Occupational Therapy from an accredited Occupational Therapy program.Certified Lymphedema Therapist (CLT) certification from Klose or Norton required.1 year of site-specific experience preferred.Active Maryland OT License.Active American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.Work Schedule:Employment Type: Part-time (per diem)Hours per Week: 4hrs/weekTypical Daily Schedule: Coverage is needed Monday through Friday, 7:30 am - 4pm.Shift Type: DayCompensation: This position is per diem at a rate of $60/hourShift Differential Eligible: NoPay Range:$34.58 - $51.87If the salary range is listed as $0 or if the position is Per Diem (with a fixed rate), salary discussions will take place during the screening process.Under the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA), this position is classified as:United States of America (Non-Exempt)At Adventist HealthCare our job is to care for you.We do this by offering:Work life balance through nonrotating shiftsRecognition and rewards for professional expertiseFree Employee parkingMedical, Prescription, Dental, and Vision coverage for employees and their eligible dependents effective on your date of hireEmployer-paid Short & Long-Term Disability, Basic Life Insurance and AD&D, (short-term disability buy-up available)Paid Time OffEmployer retirement contribution and match after 1-year of eligible employment with a 3-year vesting periodVoluntary benefits include flexible spending accounts, legal plans, and life, pet, auto, home, long term care, and critical illness & accident insuranceSubsidized childcare at participating childcare centersTuition ReimbursementEmployee Assistance Program (EAP) supportAs a faith-based organization, with over a century of caring for the communities in the Maryland area, Adventist HealthCare has earned a reputation for high-quality, compassionate care.
