Territory Sales Manager, Industrial Sensors and Automation Charlotte, NC | Field-based, home office | North Texas territory Precision Sales Recruiting is hiring on behalf of a global manufacturer of industrial sensors, controls, and condition monitoring technology. Their products run on production lines across food and beverage, plastics, packaging, metal fabrication, building products, aerospace, and energy equipment, and inside the machines built by the OEMs serving those industries. This is a field sales seat, not a phone seat. You will be on plant floors with maintenance and reliability managers, controls engineers, and OEM design teams, finding where downtime and manual inspection are costing them money, then engineering the solution that fixes it. You inherit an installed base to grow and real whitespace to open. What you will do Own revenue, pipeline, and forecast Call directly on manufacturing plants and OEM machine builders Walk production lines to identify sensing, connectivity, and condition monitoring applications Build project pipeline from single-sensor trials to plant-wide rollouts Get specified early with OEMs so the standard follows the machine into the field Grow existing accounts into new lines, plants, and divisions Prospect and open new accounts in target industries Pull in application engineers and product specialists on technical opportunities Keep CRM activity and forecasting current What you need 3+ years of B2B sales calling on manufacturing plants or industrial customers Consultative, application-based selling, not transactional order taking Comfort on a plant floor and in a technical conversation with an engineer A record of opening new accounts, not only servicing existing ones Home base in Charlotte, NC Strongly preferred Sensors, automation, controls, instrumentation, motion, or related industrial components Experience selling to both end-user plants and OEM machine builders Technical or engineering degree, or equivalent hands-on industrial background Familiarity with PLCs, industrial networking, IO-Link, or condition monitoring Compensation and benefits Base salary: $127,000 to $145,000 OTE $180,000 Incentive and commission plan on top of base Company car Full benefits, family-owned culture, strong work-life balance Direct product experience is not required.
