LATERAL ENTRY LEAD PARAMEDIC TRAINEE

• 28.00 hourly ($64,064 annually while in training)
• 79,485 annually upon being credentialed for candidates with 18 months - 2 years’ experience
• 81,874 annually upon being credentialed for candidates with 2 – 5 years’ experience
• 84,345 annually upon being credentialed for candidates with more than 5 years’ experience

Qualifications 18- 43 years of age (cannot have reached 44th birthday by November 19, 2026) Valid and Current Driver’s License MUST be certified as a Paramedic on the date of application MUST have worked at least 18 months as a Paramedic providing advanced emergency medical services outside of a hospital setting Additional Requirements Successfully pass a written test, a physical assessment test, a background check, a polygraph examination, a psychological examination, an interview board and a medical / physical examination. Additional Exam Points Military Veteran = Five (5) points with Honorable Discharge per DD214 Member-4 Must email a copy of DD214 Member 4 to View email address on click.appcast.io no later than November 18, 2026 @ 6:30PM. Submissions made after the deadline will not be accepted. FWISD EMTs = Three (3) points for graduates of a Fort Worth ISD high school who also pass the EMT National Registry. (1) The Civil Service Entry exam will be a live, in-person exam and qualified applicants will be required to report in person on their assigned location, date and time to take the exam.
