What You'll Do As an Ophthalmic Technician, you'll be a vital part of each patient's experience by: Creating a welcoming and compassionate patient experience throughout the clinic Performing comprehensive patient work-ups, including visual acuity, refractions, intraocular pressures, medication reconciliation, medical history, and scribing Conducting advanced diagnostic testing including OCT, visual fields, topography, biometry, pachymetry, fundus photography, and other ophthalmic imaging Preparing patients for examinations and assisting providers in delivering efficient, high-quality care Educating patients about procedures, treatment plans, and next steps Maintaining accurate documentation within our electronic medical record Supporting clinic flow while ensuring safety, quality, and exceptional service What Makes You Successful We're looking for someone who: Enjoys connecting with patients and making them feel not just comfortable, but valued Takes ownership and accountability in their role Communicates professionally with teammates and providers Remains calm and organized in a busy clinical environment Learns quickly and embraces new technology Values collaborative teamwork over individual recognition Has a positive attitude and a desire to continuously improve Qualifications Experience as an Ophthalmic Technician, required Strong understanding of ophthalmic terminology and diagnostic testing Experience with Electronic Medical Records Exceptional communication, organizational, and people skills Ability to multitask while maintaining exceptional attention to detail Bilingual or COA, a plus Why Join Alliance Vision Institute?
