We are seeking a dependable, motivated, and positive Landscape Maintenance Crew Leader to lead one of our maintenance crews and help deliver exceptional service to our clients. Position Overview The Landscape Maintenance Crew Leader is responsible for leading a crew in the maintenance of residential and commercial properties while ensuring quality workmanship, efficiency, safety, and outstanding customer service. This role is responsible for managing the daily workflow, training team members, communicating with clients, and ensuring every property reflects Rooted Landscape’s commitment to excellence. The ideal candidate is a servant leader who enjoys working outdoors, developing others, solving problems, and taking ownership of their work. What You’ll Do Lead and motivate a landscape maintenance crew each day. Delegate responsibilities and ensure work is completed efficiently. Train, mentor, and develop crew members. Promote a positive, team-oriented work environment. Hold team members accountable to company standards and safety practices. Conduct daily equipment and vehicle inspections. Landscape Maintenance Perform mowing, trimming, edging, pruning, weed control, mulch installation, seasonal cleanups, and plant care. Identify landscape issues and recommend solutions. Ensure every property is maintained to Rooted Landscape’s quality standards. Operate commercial landscape equipment safely and efficiently. Assist with enhancement projects as needed. Customer Service Serve as the primary point of contact on job sites. Communicate professionally with clients regarding property needs and service updates. Identify enhancement opportunities and communicate them to the Account Manager or Sales Team. Ensure customers receive exceptional service on every visit. Operations Follow daily schedules and complete assigned routes efficiently. Complete work orders and job documentation accurately. Maintain company vehicles, trailers, and equipment. Monitor material usage and communicate inventory needs. Ensure compliance with all company safety policies and procedures. Qualifications Preferred Experience 2+ years of landscape maintenance experience. Previous crew leadership experience preferred. Experience operating commercial mowing and landscape equipment. Knowledge of plant identification and proper pruning techniques is a plus. Pesticide applicator license is a plus (or willingness to obtain). Skills & Abilities Strong leadership and communication skills. Ability to motivate and develop others. Excellent organizational and time-management skills. Strong attention to detail. Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions. Ability to lift 50+ pounds. Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
