Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled and energetic Brick Mason to join our dynamic construction team. In this role, you will be responsible for constructing, repairing, and restoring structures using bricks, stones, concrete blocks, and other masonry materials. Your expertise will contribute to building durable, aesthetically pleasing structures that meet project specifications and safety standards. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work on diverse projects, from new construction to renovation and restoration efforts, utilizing your masonry skills to create lasting impressions.

Duties

• Interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to accurately execute masonry projects according to specifications.
• Lay bricks, stones, concrete blocks, and other materials with precision using hand tools and power tools.
• Install rebar reinforcement and perform concrete forming and finishing to ensure structural integrity.
• Execute mortar work including laying bricks and stones, caulking, and plastering for smooth finishes.
• Build masonry scaffolds safely and efficiently while adhering to all safety protocols on-site.
• Operate heavy equipment such as mixers and scaffolding while maintaining a safe work environment.
• Collaborate with carpenters, roofers, and other tradespeople during renovation or restoration projects to ensure seamless integration of building components.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in concrete masonry, bricklaying, stone masonry, or related construction fields.
• Strong knowledge of construction estimating, blueprint reading, interpreting technical drawings, and schematics.
• Skilled in the use of hand tools, power tools, heavy equipment operation, and building material installation.
• Familiarity with rebar installation, concrete finishing techniques, stucco application, tile laying, and metal stud framing is preferred.
• Ability to interpret construction plans accurately and follow safety protocols diligently.
• Experience working on construction sites with a focus on renovation or restoration projects is highly desirable.
• Valid certifications related to scaffolding safety or heavy equipment operation are a plus.
