About the Position

Job Title: RN - ICU Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: Intensive Care Unit Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum 2 years License: Active RN license Certifications: CCRN recommended Must-Have: Titration of vesicant medications Familiarity with pressors, sedation, and paralytics Experience with vents and tracheostomies Telemetry interpretation Understanding of hemodynamics and PA catheter setup and interpretation Description: We are seeking an experienced RN for our ICU. This facility is recognized for excellence in clinical quality. The ICU is a fast-paced environment with a focus on delivering high-quality care. Nurses in this unit will be responsible for managing critically ill patients. Patient ratios range from 2:1 to 1:1, occasionally 3:1 depending on acuity. The unit primarily employs RNs and does not utilize unit secretaries or patient care technicians. Nurses will work with advanced technology and equipment such as vents, telemetry devices, and IV pumps. Both night shifts and alternating weekends are required. We expect travelers to float to all areas as needed. Preferred skills include experience with IABP, Impella, and CRRT. All candidates must adhere to the dress code and uniform guidelines specified for the unit. Candidates should be motivated and committed to providing safe and effective patient care.
