THE ROLE:The AMD Data Center GPU Remote Management team is seeking a talented FPGA Development Engineer to develop out-of-band management FPGA solutions for our next generation of GPU products. The Platform Hardware Controller interacts with cutting-edge Data Center GPUs.THE PERSON:The successful applicant will collaborate closely with other FPGA and firmware developers, system architects, system validation engineers, and board designers across various IPs, leading the design and implementation of FPGA solutions that span both pre-silicon and post-silicon stages for AMD’s flagship Data Center products.KEY RESPONSIBILITES:Develop complex FPGA-based digital designs using SoCs with embedded processing, high-speed interfaces, and custom IPDefine FPGA architecture, requirements, and supporting documentationTranslate system-level requirements into FPGA design specificationsWrite high-quality Verilog/SystemVerilog to meet performance, quality, and schedule targetsDevelop and execute test and verification strategies for FPGA designsDrive best practices for design quality, development processes, and continuous improvementCreate modular, reusable FPGA IP for current and future projectsSupport debug and defect resolution, including validation, logging, and root-cause analysisPREFERRED EXPERIENCE:Strong communicator and team player in fast-paced environments Self-starter who can work independently and complete tasks Experience with FPGA, firmware, and embedded system testing Xilinx design (Block Design, AXI IP) and custom IP integration Programming in Verilog/SystemVerilog, Python, TCL, Bash, C/C++ (Linux) Ability to read schematics and apply verification methodologies (Mentor)Knowledge of embedded protocols (I2C, SPI, USB, PCIe, TCP/IP) Familiar with BMC management and protocols (IPMI, MCTP, PLDM, Redfish) Experience with ARM-based systems, build tools (make, git), and CI/CD (Jenkins)ACADEMIC CREDENTIALS:Bachelor’s / Master’s degree (preferred) in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Computer EngineeringLOCATION:Austin, TexasThis role is not eligible for visa sponsorship.#LI-CB1Benefits offered are described: AMD benefits at a glance.AMD does not accept unsolicited resumes from headhunters, recruitment agencies, or fee-based recruitment services.
